At the monthly Peepshow party, The couples and the whips are swinging

Desire. Debauchery. Discipline. These are the three D’s of the ultra warped Peepshow, a monthly sex party hosted by a veteran of the scene named Master Steelow.

“Peepshow is the only event where people can express themselves completely, without the chastisement and dirty looks you get in normal clubs,” says Steelow, who oversees the parties with his “dungeon mistress,” Desdemonia. “Peepshow is about your proclivity, whether it’s fetish, swinging, S&M, nudism or even exhibitionism,” he continues. “We prohibit discrimination; once you get in, you can feel, act, be what you want to be. You can do whatever you fucking want!”

Master Steelow began his carnal career as a go-go dancer at the Meatpacking District’s dearly departed Mother. Later, he toiled as maitre d’ at the S&M-themed supper club La Maison de Sade, honing his skills spanking bachelorettes. All along, he cultivated contacts in the fetish and goth scenes, and eventually started throwing his own private loft parties with a culturally mixed crowd.

The former club kid now hosts three separately themed parties, but Peepshow is his pinnacle. Since it has become increasingly difficult to rent space for this type of event (“especially when the crowd has been discovered by the neighborhood,” Steelow says), the proceedings move to a different loft each month. The location is kept secret until a few days before, when the site and password are disclosed to the chosen. Would-be attendees must navigate a screening process on Steelow’s website, Peepshow-Party.com, and then pay an entry fee that ranges from $20 for a woman attending alone to $50 for a single man. Those who’d rather not pay can be volunteers—a popular choice, judging by the lengthy waiting list. “Sometimes we dress ‘em up like a French maid, make ‘em into sissy-maids,” Desdemonia says. “Then we make them hand out drinks.” Volunteers must be willing to perform erotic acts or to be “used” by the congregation. “That means they’ll be a sacrificial lamb,” Steelow says. “They can’t pick or choose what happens to them.”

At the last Peepshow, in September, the theme was “Slumber Party,” and the place was packed with about 150 enthusiasts. Men wandered around naked, while women strutted through topless. By 11pm, a bullwhip-wielding dominatrix was mercilessly beating a bound slave. Nearby, a goth bitch-goddess sat on a sofa, basking in adulation as her devoted slave licked her dainty toes. In the Erotic Massage Room, three G-stringed, topless young masseuses in bobby socks kissed and caressed each other, while a naked man lay stretched out on the massage table. In the Pitch Black Room, reserved for copulating couples and encounters with strangers, a man sporting black leather chaps screwed his miniskirted girlfriend doggy-style, right next to a thrusting threesome. Back in the main room, while DJs Brujo and Mekkah spun a mix of trance, house and synth-pop, a submissive in a mask and rubber tutu hung incapacitated on a wooden cross. A partially clad dominatrix and a bald man in a black leather vest appeared to take turns with a riding crop, unleashing a series of swats on the petite belle du jour.

A similar scenario is promised for the next Peepshow, on Saturday 16, which will carry an “Eyes Wide Shut” theme, complete with waltzing, cloaked guests. “Rumor has it that at the stroke of midnight, wanton women standing in a circle will reenact a scene from Eyes Wide Shut,” Steelow says. “With the ring of a bell, they will drop their cloaks, select a guest from the crowd and escort them into the Pitch Black Room.”

The “Eyes Wide Shut” edition will feature ringmaster Steelow’s usual stable of degenerates, including Goddess Hayden, an experienced mistress who trains disciples. She demonstrated her technique at the September party by “strapping on” Mr. Bruce, a testee used for “experiments.” As part of their initiation, beginning mistresses who wish to join the Peepshow clan must “strap him on” with a nine-inch black dildo.

And of course, Master Steelow also gets in on the action. Last month, he doled out discipline to the delectable Desdemonia, flogging her rump until it was red—then pausing to embrace and smooch her passionately. A more devoted couple you’ll rarely see. “My fetish parties are the defining example of what a fetish party should be,” Steelow states proudly. “They are the real deal.”
